About Blue Lock Anime

This anime series called Blue Lock, produced by Studio Eight Bit, is based on the original manga series Blue Lock by Muneyuki Kaneshiro (TenSura, Encouragement of Climb and The Irregular at Magic High School S2).

Following their embarrassing 16th-place finish in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Japanese national football team is the subject of the television series. In need of a dramatic strategy, the Japanese Football Union engages the mysterious and perhaps crazy Ego Jinpachi to locate a new superstar striker for the squad.

His Blue Lock technique, which pits 300 young football hopefuls against one another in a prison-like setting to determine who is indeed the top goal scorer in the nation, aims to produce the most narcissistic striker in the history of the sport. The winner will represent the nation on strike, while anyone who fails the test will be permanently barred from the sport.

Our main character Yoichi Isagi, a high school student who is undoubtedly exceptionally brilliant but is plagued by memories of his previous failures at school competitions, gets chosen as a part of this scheme.
