Prince Harry is reportedly considering a bid to mend his fractured relationship with his father, King Charles, in a move aimed at repairing his public image, according to those familiar with the situation.
Insiders speaking to The Daily Mail reveal that the Duke of Sussex has turned to confidants from his past, including former royal aides, to strategize a “rehabilitation” of his reputation. This effort, seen as the first step in a larger plan, would involve Harry spending more time in the UK, rebuilding ties with King Charles, and possibly re-establishing a partial connection to royal duties.
Although Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be exploring ways to reconcile with the royal family, sources clarify that the couple is not considering a permanent move back to the UK. This news comes on the heels of Prince Harry and Prince William’s unexpected joint appearance at their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral.
On August 28, the brothers discreetly attended the service at St. Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk. Contrary to earlier reports that Harry would skip the funeral due to security concerns, both he and William were present, quietly sitting at the back of the church. This was the first time the brothers had been in the same place since King Charles’ coronation. Reverend Dan Tansey, who attended the service, remarked that while William’s presence was anticipated, Harry’s appearance was more unexpected.
Despite being at the same event, the brothers reportedly avoided any direct contact. Meanwhile, Princess Kate is said to be keen on ending the ongoing feud between them. A source noted that while Kate sees reconciliation as essential, William prefers to maintain distance and move forward. Royal expert Christopher Andersen echoed this, highlighting Kate’s wish for the brothers to reconcile, as she and Harry shared a close relationship, with Harry often considering her the sister he never had.
