Following an outstanding collegiate career at LSU, where she earned the title of Most Outstanding Player in the 2023 NCAA championship, Angel Reese has swiftly risen to prominence as a rookie with the Chicago Sky.
At 6-foot-3, the All-Star forward is showcasing her skills this season with impressive stats, including an average of 13.6 points per game, a shooting accuracy of 39.1% from the field, and 73.6% from the free-throw line. She leads the league with 13.1 rebounds per game and also contributes 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game.
In a recent episode of her podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” co-hosted by Maya Reese, Angel tackled the rumors suggesting she was romantically linked with Phoenix Suns All-Star Kevin Durant. The speculation surfaced after Reese was seen sitting next to Durant and Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry at London’s O2 Arena during a July 2024 Olympic exhibition game.
The event saw Team USA defeat Germany 84-57. Despite not being part of the USA team or the presumptive Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark, Team USA clinched its eighth consecutive gold medal, narrowly overcoming France in the final.
Durant, now holding the record as the highest scorer in Team USA Olympic history, secured his fourth gold medal with the U.S. team. Reese dismissed the rumors about her relationship with Durant, expressing bewilderment over how such claims emerged.
She emphasized that her admiration for Durant is purely from a fan’s perspective. While Reese and Durant share the same position on the court, their playing styles differ seriously: Durant is celebrated for his scoring ability, while Reese excels in defensive play and rebounding, generating points primarily through put-backs.
