Could the Humes family soon be welcoming another bundle of joy? As Rochelle’s youngest child approaches his fourth birthday, the former Saturdays star has stirred speculation about expanding her family after sharing her maternal longing on Instagram Stories. However, her husband Marvin seems less enthusiastic about the idea.
The couple, who already share daughters Alaia-Mai, 11, and Valentina, 7, as well as son Blake, 3, recently enjoyed a child-free getaway in Ibiza. During their holiday, Rochelle, 35, expressed her desire for another child, especially a boy to be a brother to Blake. Marvin, 39, humorously dismissed the idea while appearing in the background, suggesting they won’t be adding to their brood. Despite his reservations, sources hint that Rochelle’s longing for a fourth child might still come to fruition.
“Rochelle is saddened by the thought of Blake no longer being a baby as he turns four in September,” an insider reveals. “She’s particularly eager for a boy so Blake could have a brother. However, Marvin remains firm, citing their already crowded household and their busy schedules, plus the ongoing construction of their new £5 million home.”
Marvin and Rochelle, who have been building their dream house for over a year, have faced delays and are currently residing in rented accommodation. The house is designed to feature adult amenities like a gym, sauna, and bar, alongside ample space for their children. Despite the hold-ups, Rochelle is eager for another child and feels their family isn’t quite complete yet.
“Rochelle is quite persuasive and truly believes they have room for one more,” the source adds. “With Blake starting school next year, she’s not ready to say goodbye to having a little one at home.”
Rochelle has previously acknowledged the demands of parenting, but also values their balanced approach to co-parenting. She finds joy in having young children and is hopeful she can convince Marvin to add to their family sooner rather than later. Friends believe Rochelle’s persistence may ultimately win out.
