When contestants sign up for Love Island, getting matching tattoos with a fellow Islander likely isn’t part of the game plan. Yet, that’s exactly what happened this year. Harriett Blackmore, who left the 2024 Love Island villa on Day 26 (far too soon, if you ask us) with Ronnie Vint by her side, had hopes of turning their onscreen romance into something lasting in the real world.
However, despite their initial efforts, the couple recently called it quits. The news of their breakup wasn’t even delivered by them directly—Matilda Draper took to TikTok to break the news to the world, in what can only be described as a quintessentially Gen Z move.
Interestingly enough, Matilda—fresh off her own split from Sean Stone—has been spending a surprising amount of time with Harriett lately. Their TikToks have been popping up more than we can count (okay, we see all of them). While most fans didn’t realize the two were this close during their time in the villa, their bond has apparently grown strong enough to inspire matching tattoos. Yes, you read that correctly.
Harriett and Matilda now have complementary ink. And honestly, while Love Island is known for its romance, the solid friendships that emerge from the show truly warm our hearts—think Molly-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins, or Chloe Burrows and Millie Court, who are practically travel buddies for life.
Matilda recently posted a greyscale image of their new tattoos on her Instagram story, tagging Harriett with the caption, “Got my dolly on me for life @harriettblackmorex.” The mysterious ink features what we believe are feet, with one tattoo reading “DOLLY” and the other sporting a letter “H.” Harriett quickly reshared it, and we’re definitely here for Love Island BFFs bonding through tattoos.
