On Friday, September 6, the 39-year-old pop singer took to Instagram with a playful video, jokingly comparing her affection for fiancé Orlando Bloom to a wig she was wearing. “This bang isn’t real, but my love for you is,” Perry quipped as she dramatically removed the hairpiece.
Bloom, 47, responded with a silent, wide-mouthed look of surprise. Perry also shared glimpses from the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where she and Bloom attended the premiere of his latest film, The Cut. For the event, Perry dazzled in a two-piece ensemble featuring a black shimmering skirt with a sash draped over her shoulder, complemented by silver jewelry and bold makeup.

Bloom opted for a classic black blazer and dress pants paired with a cream turtleneck. Perry captioned the Instagram post, “Swapped out the rehearsal sweats last night to support my baby daddy @orlandobloom’s new film premiere #TheCut at the opening night of @TIFF_net in Toronto last night.”
She continued, “Couldn’t be prouder of the immense physical and mental effort he put into this role (you’ll see… 🫣). But honestly, I’m mostly thankful we can now return to enjoying our In-N-Out. (Thank you @Celine for our beautiful looks).” The Cut revolves around a boxer who must shed a substantial amount of weight to compete.
Bloom shared with PEOPLE that his drastic physical transformation for the role initially unsettled Perry. He admitted, “The last three weeks in London before filming was just tuna and cucumber,” adding that he was “very hangry” during that period. Bloom also mentioned working with a nutritionist on a “strict regime,” noting, “We started the film at my lightest weight, and then I gained weight as we filmed.”
