Priscilla Presley recently celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Hawaii Theatre with a memorable appearance. On Friday, September 6, the 79-year-old actress hosted a special event, “An Evening with Priscilla Presley,” at the Honolulu performing arts venue. The occasion was a tribute to the theatre’s rich history and to her late husband, Elvis Presley, whom she was married to from 1967 to 1972.
Dressed in a white knit blouse and adorned with a matching lei, Priscilla shared personal anecdotes about Elvis as a husband and father, as well as her experiences being married to one of the world’s most renowned celebrities.

The event featured Priscilla showcasing home videos of her life with Elvis at Graceland, their vacations, and moments with their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. The evening concluded with a question-and-answer segment. Adding a personal touch to the event, Priscilla greeted attendees and posed for photos. Among the guests was Ginny Tiu, who starred with Elvis in the 1962 film “Girls! Girls! Girls!”
Before the event, Priscilla discussed Elvis’s affection for Hawaii. “He used to go there to unwind, to relax before tackling his next engagements, like shows in Vegas,” she shared with local news outlet KHON2. “He always gave his all in performances, and after a month of intense work, he needed to decompress, relax, and savor life.”
Elvis filmed three of his movies in Hawaii: “Blue Hawaii” (1961), “Girls! Girls! Girls!” and “Paradise, Hawaiian Style” (1966). Architectural Digest noted that Elvis infused some of his Graceland rooms with a tropical touch reminiscent of the islands.
In August, Priscilla paid tribute to Elvis on the 47th anniversary of his passing. Elvis died of a heart attack at Graceland in 1977 at the age of 42. “Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you,” Priscilla wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of Elvis.
