The Saltburn stars have reunited once again! Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan, who starred in the 2023 provocative dramedy Saltburn, made a joint appearance on the red carpet at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Although they were there to support different projects, their reunion was a nod to the chemistry they previously showcased while promoting Saltburn.
On Saturday, September 7, both actors attended Variety’s TIFF Step & Repeat, where they exuded the same playful charm they displayed during their film’s promotion. Elordi, 27, and Keoghan, 31, were seen posing together in similar button-up shirts, with Elordi wrapping his arm around Keoghan, who gave a peace sign.
That same day, Elordi marked the debut of his new film On Swift Horses by joining his castmates Daniel Minahan, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sasha Calle, Diego Calva, and Will Poulter on the red carpet. Meanwhile, Keoghan attended the premiere of his drama film Bird with cast member Nykiya Adams.
Saltburn, directed by Emerald Fennell, tells the story of Oliver (Keoghan) being invited to the opulent estate of his Oxford University classmate Felix (Elordi) for the summer of 2007. The film quickly gained attention for its bold moments, leading to a resurgence of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s track “Murder on the Dancefloor,” which featured prominently in the soundtrack, and a viral candle inspired by one of Elordi’s provocative scenes.
The candle, which references a scene where Elordi’s character Felix engages in solo intimacy in a bathtub, sparked serious buzz. When asked about it on The Tonight Show, Elordi expressed curiosity about the profits from the candle and humorously noted its scent as reminiscent of a laundry room. Keoghan also chimed in, joking to Variety that he owns “10 of” the viral candles, all of which are currently lit at his home.
Both actors have openly discussed their close friendship, with Keoghan describing Elordi as “like a brother” in a recent GQ interview. Reflecting on their off-screen chemistry and their near-kiss moments on the red carpet, Keoghan shared, “I’m really flirtin’. … We were constantly close. It ain’t just for the cameras and the premiere[s].” He added that their comfort with each other allowed them to be as close as they wished, highlighting their genuine rapport.
