In a recent cover story for Vanity Fair published on September 9, the 32-year-old singer and actress shared that she has no intention of changing her last name, regardless of what the future may bring.
Addressing her relationship with Benny Blanco and the possibility of marriage, Gomez emphasized that neither she nor her family are pressuring Blanco into making a commitment. She noted, “We always make sure we’re protecting what we have, but there’s no rules.”

“I’m not changing my name no matter what,” she stated firmly. “I am Selena Gomez. That’s it.”
While Gomez did not specifically mention marriage plans with Blanco, she expressed deep affection for him, noting that she has “never been loved this way.” She described Blanco, whom she began dating in July 2023 after years of friendship, as “a complete light in my life” and “my best friend.”
