Sara Haines recently reminisced about an amusing incident involving an unexpected guest during a private moment with her husband. On the September 13 episode of The View, Haines, 46, shared a humorous story about her intimate life with her husband, Max Shifrin, while discussing NFL hall of fame player Shannon Sharpe’s accidental live stream during a private moment.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed that she is terrified of accidentally broadcasting her bedroom activities, noting that she takes precautions like placing her phone away from the bed when she is with her husband, Justin Griffin.
Haines quips about balancing her intimate moments with practical questions about household chores
“I’m afraid of live-streaming or like, my mom calling and hearing it,” she admitted. “The phone should never be in the bed—only in the bedroom but away from the bed. The nightstand, locked and away, is the designated place.” Haines responded with a playful anecdote, recalling a time when she and Max were in bed and Alexa responded with, “I’m sorry, I don’t understand the question,” from another room.
The unexpected story elicited laughter from the audience, while co-host Sunny Hostin shared her own concerns, saying, “That’s exactly what I fear—Alexa! I have Echo Dots all over my house. She knows everything, and I think some have cameras. This could easily happen to me.”
When Joy Behar asked what might have triggered Alexa’s response, Haines was puzzled, saying, “I wasn’t saying anything! Why did she answer me?” Behar humorously suggested, “It must have been something like, ‘Are you enjoying this or not?'” Haines has previously discussed her intimate life on the show. In a January episode of The View, she revealed that she often asks her husband about household chores right after they are intimate.
“Sometimes, while I’m recovering, I think about all the things still left to do,” she explained, joking about needing time to recuperate from “the pure exhaustion of that primal act.” She added with a laugh, “I ask, ‘Babe, did the plumber call today?’ I need to wait a bit longer, which is why I look at my phone. I give him a full five minutes before asking him anything.”
With three kids and a busy schedule, Haines noted, “When I get him, I get him. He got what he wanted; now, I need to get what I want. Did the plumber call?”
