In light of Collin Gosselin’s recent abuse allegations, Kate Gosselin’s lawyer has responded to the claims. Speaking to Fox News, attorney Richard Puelo addressed accusations from Collin regarding mistreatment by Kate. However, Puelo refrained from commenting on specific allegations that she allegedly locked Collin away from his siblings in a separate room.
“She avoids commenting because statements are often taken out of context,” Puelo explained. He emphasized that Kate doesn’t feel the need to respond publicly, adding, “The facts speak for themselves.”
Puelo further stated that the truth is reflected in what happened, stressing that commenting wouldn’t alter the past. He also asserted that Kate never intentionally harmed her children.
Collin detailed his experiences in a September 10 interview with The Sun, where he recalled a locked room in their basement where he was allegedly kept. According to Collin, the room had a window and cameras, with a mattress on the floor.
He claimed that he spent most of his time in the room and rarely went outside, including skipping school. Collin accused his mother of frequent physical and emotional abuse.
As their custody battle continued following Kate and Jon’s 2009 divorce, the accusations surfaced, with Jon later learning about the alleged abuse when he gained custody of Hannah in 2016.
