Josh Daicos, the star player for Collingwood, has exciting news to share. The AFL sensation recently revealed his engagement to Annalise Dalins after three years of being together. In a joint Instagram post, Daicos and Dalins announced their engagement.
Describing the moment as “the happiest day of our lives,” Daicos shared several photos from the proposal. He also expressed his deep affection with the words, “My girl for a lifetime ❤️.” The proposal took place during a vacation in Greece, where Daicos popped the question to his model girlfriend.
The photos capture the couple’s joy, with Dalins proudly displaying her stunning diamond ring. Another touching image features Dalins giving Daicos a kiss on the cheek. The post quickly garnered a flood of congratulatory messages from Daicos’ AFL colleagues and even a shout-out from Aussie singer G-Flip.
Collingwood’s Instagram account also joined in the celebration with a separate post, stating, “Huge congratulations to @joshdaicos and his partner @annalisedalins_ on the news of their engagement in Greece 💍🖤🤍.”
The couple first crossed paths about three years ago at a bar on Melbourne’s Chapel Street. Daicos recounted the story to 9honey at the 2024 Australian Open, noting that he had previously interacted with Dalins on Instagram but their meeting in person felt serendipitous.
He admitted it was Dalins’ smile that initially attracted him, saying, “As soon as I saw her, I saw her smile and it made it so easy to go over there and talk to her. The conversation just flowed.”
