“Though our child will have the freedom to pursue their passions, I’ve expressed my concern about football due to my husband’s extensive history of injuries,” Valance reveals. She suggests, “We could encourage activities like golf, tennis, or cricket instead, as high-contact sports can be quite damaging to one’s body.”
Adding a humorous note, she says, “We’ll insist on no football, but who knows? Our child might still become a standout footballer.” Valance, whose career revolves around the arts, emphasizes, “So, my main goal is for our baby to be happy!”
Bellchambers, a former Essendon player, announced his retirement in September 2020. Two years later, he and Valance, the younger sister of Holly Candy, celebrated their marriage in a beautiful ceremony at The Farm Daylesford in Victoria. Excited about Bellchambers becoming a father, Valance shares, “He’s absolutely thrilled about it.”
She reminisces, “During the first few months of our relationship, he asked me if I wanted children, and I said yes.” Valance expresses her anticipation, saying, “Family means a lot to both of us, and I can’t wait to see him as a dad. I know he’ll be amazing, and seeing him hold our little one is something I’m eagerly looking forward to.”
However, choosing a name for their baby has proven challenging. Valance, who represents Robe Haircare, reveals that her mother prefers a strong Greek name to honor their heritage. She explains, “Thomas and I have completely agreed on a girl’s name, but we can’t seem to agree on a boy’s name!”
Valance humorously adds, “Our baby might come into the world without a name. My mother is keen on a Greek name, but we’re struggling with options that don’t sound too ethnic!”
