Could a power couple be emerging between one of the WNBA’s greatest players and a rising NBA star from Team USA? Both athletes secured gold medals for Team USA in Paris, each contributing to their respective wins in the gold-medal games against France.
Although they were spotted walking together in Indianapolis on Thursday, neither plays for the Fever or Pacers, according to TMZ. And for those wondering, this isn’t about Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton.
The pair in question is actually A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo, who have reportedly been linked romantically since before the Olympic Games kicked off. With the Las Vegas Aces playing against the Fever on Wednesday and Friday, Adebayo was seen spending time with Wilson on the day off between the two games. Rumors of their relationship first surfaced when they were seen together in Las Vegas during the Team USA training camp, with neither of their respective teams involved.
Both have been quiet about their relationship on social media, though Adebayo did share a congratulatory message reading “U’nanimous” after Wilson clinched the WNBA scoring title on Wednesday.
Wilson also attended the ceremony where Adebayo was awarded the key to the city by Miami-Dade mayor Daniella Levine Cava, following his Olympic success. As the WNBA season wraps up, the NBA season is about to begin, with games starting next month, while the WNBA Finals are expected in late October.
The age difference between Wilson and Adebayo is slight, with Wilson turning 28 while in Paris and Adebayo celebrating his 27th birthday during Team USA training. With Sunday’s matchup against the Sun approaching, the Aces have just three regular-season games left before beginning their WNBA title defense.
