Despite her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Ben Affleck, it appears that Jennifer Lopez has discreetly removed the tattoo she got with him.
The 55-year-old star of “Jenny From the Block” made a striking entrance at the premiere of Unstoppable during the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 6.
She wore a dazzling silver Tamara Ralph gown, featuring slits on both sides, held together by large black bows. Although her bold outfit garnered much attention, observant fans noticed the absence of her rib cage tattoo beneath the dress.

In 2023, the Atlas actress and her now-estranged husband had gotten matching tattoos, with Lopez’s ink positioned on the right side of her ribs. However, at the Unstoppable premiere, the spot appeared bare, leading fans to speculate whether the tattoo had been removed or simply concealed with makeup.
Lopez originally showcased the tattoo in an Instagram post on February 14, 2023. The post featured a series of pictures of her and Ben, with the first image highlighting her fresh ink – an arrow piercing through an infinity symbol that intertwined their names.
Ben’s tattoo, which she also shared in the post, was placed vertically along his ribs, depicting two crossed arrows with their initials at the center. She captioned the post with the word “Commitment” and an infinity sign emoji, wishing her love a Happy Valentine’s Day.
The singer’s appearance without the tattoo comes just weeks after In Touch confirmed on August 20 that she officially filed for divorce from the Good Will Hunting actor. Lopez filed the paperwork on the second anniversary of their elaborate second wedding, held at Ben’s Georgia estate.
Listing their separation date as April 26, 2024, Lopez filed without a lawyer and did not mention a prenuptial agreement. In Touch first reported in May that the couple was on the path to divorce.
A source revealed to In Touch that Ben is now concentrating on his work and children, noting that he wasn’t responsible for the couple’s troubles. “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” they said.
The source further explained that Ben had already moved out and that the couple would likely need to sell their dream home, which they had spent two years searching for. Though they’ll always care for each other, their differences were irreconcilable.
Currently, Ben is living in a temporary rental in Brentwood, California, to be closer to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. He and Lopez publicly listed their Beverly Hills home for sale at $68 million in July.
While Lopez continues to search for a new home, Ben closed on a $20 million property in Pacific Palisades on July 24. According to an insider who spoke to In Touch on September 4, Lopez has been through immense challenges this year.
Despite wanting to save the marriage, she realized it was beyond repair, leading her to file for divorce. Although she presents a strong image publicly, the source said that behind the scenes, Lopez has been heartbroken, calling this the most difficult year of her life.
