Radiating confidence at the Toronto International Film Festival, the 55-year-old singer turned heads in a dazzling Tamara Ralph gown featuring silver paillettes and high slits on either side. The dress, enhanced by large black velvet bows, showcased her figure while allowing her to display a natural smokey makeup look and flowing brunette hair.
The event was a promotional platform for Unstoppable, a film in which Jennifer stars and co-produces alongside her estranged husband Ben Affleck and his long-time friend Matt Damon.
Ben’s absence from the festival was noticed, especially since the “Let’s Get Loud” singer had filed for divorce on August 20 after two years of marriage. Matt and his wife Luciana were present at the event.
During the afterparty, Matt and Jennifer engaged in an extensive conversation, later joined by Luciana and Unstoppable co-star Don Cheadle, as reported by People.
According to a source, “Jen and Matt had a meaningful discussion, with moments of laughter and serious talk, and even clasped hands during their conversation.”
Unstoppable depicts the inspiring journey of professional wrestler Anthony Robles, who triumphed in the 2011 NCAA wrestling championship despite being born with one leg. Jennifer portrays Anthony’s mother, Judy, and spoke about her role in the film during a Q&A session. She emphasized her commitment to portraying their story respectfully and authentically.
In May, In Touch revealed Ben and Jennifer’s imminent divorce, with a source indicating Ben had moved out of their home. By June, it was reported that Matt was making an effort to avoid involvement in any disputes related to the former couple.
A source explained, “Matt and Luciana find hanging out with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski much more relaxed compared to the rare moments spent with Ben and Jennifer. Jennifer’s demeanor can be quite guarded, making interactions more challenging.”
