Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird recently shared a video revealing the early stages of her large new back tattoo, which covers several previous tattoos, despite her divorce from her husband Josh Efird.
The Mama June: From Not to Hot star, 24, reposted a clip from her tattoo artist on Instagram Stories on September 12, showing the dragon design with horns on her back, surrounded by clouds and flowers.
The fresh artwork overlays older tattoos, including a faded line of text down her spine and another quote on her left side, along with additional ink on her left shoulder.
For now, the tattoo is only outlined in black, with more work expected to come. The tattoo artist captioned the video, “Good start for @pumpkin. Several cover-ups.”
This new ink comes shortly after Lauryn filed for divorce from Josh, 28, after six years of marriage. In Touch confirmed on August 2 that she filed the paperwork in Wilkinson County, Georgia, citing the reason as an “irretrievably broken” marriage.
In their divorce settlement, Lauryn and Josh agreed on joint custody of their four children – Ella, Bentley, and twins Sylus and Stella – to ensure what’s best for them. They also settled on a parenting plan, sharing the costs of medical care, school, and extracurricular activities.
As part of the agreement, the couple planned to work together to remove Josh from the lease of their shared home, with him given 60 days to gather his belongings. Neither party sought spousal support. Both Lauryn and Josh have moved on romantically. Josh is reportedly dating a woman named Keely, while Lauryn is seeing Darrin Kitchens.
In Touch revealed on August 19 that Lauryn’s new boyfriend, Darrin, has some financial issues, including four small claims judgments. The first, filed by a former landlord in 2016, is for an unspecified amount, while the second, from Midland Funding LLC in 2019, is for $1,443.
The third judgment, for $4,667, was filed by W.P. Land Management and involved the mother of Darrin’s second child, Leann Reynolds. His final judgment was for $14,060, filed in October 2023 by Credit Acceptance Corporation, an auto finance company.
Court documents also reveal that Darrin has been married and divorced from his first wife, Shannon Kitchens, three times. Lauryn publicly introduced Darrin in a Facebook post on August 10, where she posed in ripped jeans and a sheer black top alongside him. She captioned the photo, “Zach Bryan tonight.”
