Rumors about a romance between Kay Adams and New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones have been firmly dispelled by Adams herself. The host of Up and Adams, who is 38, and the 27-year-old Giants quarterback found themselves at the center of dating speculation among fans, particularly following their interviews together.
During her recent appearance on the 25/10 Show, Adams clarified that any potential relationship is purely fictional. “I’m not dating Daniel Jones — breaking news,” she stated to hosts LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson. “I’ve met him maybe twice, and I wish him well. I believe he has a girlfriend.”
Before the Giants’ rough 0-2 start, Adams had spent time with Jones during training camp. While interviewing him, she seemed to stumble over her words, sparking a frenzy on social media.
“Where did that come from?” Adams remarked. “As a woman in sports, I feel like I’m not allowed to stutter. If I do, it’s interpreted as: ‘Ooh, she likes him. She wants to be with him.’ That’s where the speculation comes from.”
Earlier this month, Adams also addressed the rumors on her show, referring to Jones as her “boy” while dismissing the chatter. “You gotta protect your boy. The world thinks he’s my boy,” she said while discussing the Giants’ strategy against the Vikings with offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor.
During the 25/10 Show, McCoy, who has a history of facing the Giants, playfully took a jab at his former opponents. “We can say this today on the 25/10 Show: she cleared the air—they’re not dating, right? Plus, you know you like winning quarterbacks,” the former running back joked.
In the Giants’ season opener against Minnesota, Jones was sacked five times. Although he showed signs of improvement in Week 2, completing 16 of 28 passes for two touchdowns, the team still fell short, losing 21-18 to the Commanders.
This disappointing start prompted frustrated Giants fans to burn Jones’ jersey outside MetLife Stadium. Currently, he is midway through a four-year, $160 million contract extension and will aim to secure the team’s first victory of the season against the Browns on Sunday.
