Gypsy-Rose Blanchard had a delightful evening in New Orleans. On Saturday, September 21, she took to Instagram to share moments from her date at a football game with her boyfriend, Ken Urker.
“Go Tigers!🐯 LSU vs UCLA,” the 33-year-old wrote, rallying support for the Louisiana State University team as they faced off against the University of California, Los Angeles.
She included a selfie of herself and Urker, both donning LSU hats, purple shirts, and sunglasses. Blanchard also gave fans a peek at the game atmosphere and a view from the sidelines at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers secured a victory over the Bruins, winning 34-17. Just a few days prior to this outing, Blanchard, who is expecting a daughter, provided an update on her pregnancy, mentioning some “unexpected symptoms” she has encountered during her second trimester.
In a video posted on her YouTube channel on September 19, she shared, “I’ve started to feel her kick quite a bit. I’ve noticed her movements and sleeping patterns.” Blanchard mentioned that her baby tends to kick most actively at night, particularly between 9:00 and 11:00 PM, while being more tranquil during the daytime.
She also noted that indulging in sweet treats seems to energize her baby, describing the sensation of kicks as “magical” and an exhilarating part of her pregnancy journey.
“My symptoms are manageable. I feel fortunate to be having a good pregnancy,” Blanchard stated. “I’m grateful that everything is progressing well. It’s comforting to know that my baby is developing normally and that I’m healthy as her mother.”
In July, Blanchard announced her pregnancy and later revealed the baby’s gender, exclaiming on Instagram, “The moment you all have been waiting for… It’s a girl!”
After her announcement, the star of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup spoke with PEOPLE about her vision for motherhood, expressing her admiration for her stepmother, Kristy.
“I aspire to be the kind of mom my kids can approach for any advice, just like my stepmother,” she revealed in July. “I’ve witnessed her parenting style, and I think she’s an incredible mom. She provides support without being too controlling.”
Commenting on Kristy, Blanchard added, “She encourages her children to chase their dreams while also helping them recover when those dreams falter — that’s the philosophy I want to embrace.” Blanchard is set to welcome her baby in January 2025.
