Amber Stevens West and Andrew West have welcomed their third child into the family! Their new daughter, Bernadette Maxine West, made her debut on Tuesday, September 3, as confirmed to PEOPLE by a representative for the couple. Baby Bernadette joins her older sisters, Ava, 5, and Winnie, 3.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the couple expressed their excitement, saying, “Our household just got a lot noisier! We’ve officially reached a family size of five, and we thought it would be fun to have a few more voices around!”
Amber and Andrew first met on the set of Greek, where they played on-screen partners before marrying in 2014 and starting their family
Back in June, they had joyfully announced their pregnancy to PEOPLE, sharing adorable snapshots and their anticipation. “Winnie and Ava are more than ready to step into their roles as ‘big sister’ and ‘double big sister,'” they mentioned. “Our family of five is set to make its grand debut this summer! We’re eager to meet the little one who’s been flipping around inside me all night. A chat is definitely needed!”
Amber, 37, and Andrew, 40, first met while he played her romantic partner on the show Greek. After starting a relationship, they married in December 2014. Looking back on their wedding, Amber told PEOPLE, “It was an unforgettable night for me. I wish I could relive it, but I’m also excited for everything that lies ahead in our journey together.”
Their first child, Ava, arrived in October 2018, and the couple couldn’t contain their happiness at her birth. “It feels like we’ve been anticipating Ava’s arrival our entire lives,” they shared. “Now that she’s here, we’re absolutely smitten. She’s already brought a new and special kind of love into our lives, and we can’t wait to discover what else she will teach us as she grows.”
Ava’s name was suggested by one of her grandmothers early in Amber’s pregnancy, and both parents were immediately fond of it. Her middle name, Laverne, was chosen to honor two great-grandmothers from both sides of their families.
In August 2021, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Winona Marie, who is affectionately called Winnie. They shared the thrilling news through an Instagram post. “Introducing Winona Marie West! 🌷 & 📸 by @nuleafdesign 👶🏽 by me and @andrewjwest but mostly me,” Amber wrote in her post.
Before Winnie was born, Amber and Andrew had shared their excitement with PEOPLE about Ava’s eagerness for her new sibling. “She talks about the baby every day, wondering what she’ll do with them. She kisses my belly and gives me hugs,” Amber said.
