Kaley Cuoco’s daughter shares her mother’s passion for the stables. The newly engaged actress, 38, attended the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation’s Rock4EB event on Saturday, September 21, where she spoke with PEOPLE about her 17-month-old daughter, Matilda, who has shown a fearless attitude towards adventure.
Matilda, whom Cuoco shares with her fiancé Tom Pelphrey, 42, is now “running around” and “screaming” with excitement. The proud mother noted, “She eats everything. She loves being outside. She adores her dad.
She’s kind of like a boy—she loves airplanes, monster trucks, helicopters. Anything in the sky fascinates her. And she loves horses, which is wonderful.” The Big Bang Theory star revealed that Matilda has her own pony, stating, “She was on it yesterday, actually. I know we’re in trouble.”
Cuoco described her daughter as “so fearless,” a trait that has been evident since birth. “When she was little, I used to swing her around in her carrier and stroller. She’s never been scared—she thinks it’s so fun,” Cuoco remarked.
To support Matilda’s love for riding, the devoted parents had a special tiny saddle made for her pony. “We had a special saddle designed so it props her up properly,” Cuoco explained. “She just sits in that thing and walks around; it’s crazy.”
Safety is a priority for Cuoco and Pelphrey, who ensure they are always nearby when Matilda rides. “We’re all there to supervise,” she clarified.
The actress also discussed the possibility of expanding their family soon. When asked about including their dogs in the wedding, Cuoco chuckled and mentioned that she and Pelphrey “haven’t started planning anything yet” and that “maybe another kid will have to come first.”
“We plan to go way out of order,” she added.
Reflecting on the persistent questions regarding wedding planning, Cuoco likened them to inquiries she faced after Matilda’s birth. “The minute I had my baby, everyone asked, ‘When’s your second one?’ I’m like, ‘Oh my God, can anyone just let me enjoy this?’”
