Courtney Feldman, who is estranged from Corey Feldman, has appealed to the court for temporary spousal support, stating that she feels abandoned by the actor following her decision to leave their party lifestyle, as reported exclusively by In Touch.
In the court documents reviewed by In Touch, Courtney is seeking $5,000 a month from Corey, 53, for her support. She noted that Corey has various income streams, including film and TV residuals, touring, concerts, personal appearances, and merchandise sales.
Additionally, she requested $50,000 to cover her legal fees. Courtney also asked for Corey to pay her outstanding medical bills and to provide health insurance until their divorce is finalized. The couple was married on November 22, 2016, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Courtney Feldman, estranged from Corey Feldman, has requested temporary spousal support of $5,000 a month, citing feelings of abandonment after leaving their party lifestyle
Corey initiated legal separation in September 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” and marking June 22, 2023, as their separation date.
The former child star is contesting Courtney’s right to spousal support. In her court filing, Courtney described the upper-middle-class lifestyle they shared, which included luxury cars, travel, and fine dining.
Courtney reported that she is facing multiple health challenges, including hives and recurring COVID infections, while noting that Corey is in good health. Currently, she is working part-time as a baker at a coffee shop.
Her monthly income is $1,982, and Corey is providing about $2,000 monthly support. Courtney estimates Corey earns over $280,000 a month and claims she has only $2,600 in savings while being in debt for over $18,000 to her dentist and doctor. “I am unable to earn anything close to the marital standard of living,” she stated.
Her attorney argued that Courtney had emotionally supported Corey in his career since 2011. She feels abandoned, stating that aside from minimal support, she lacks a home, job, vehicle, or funds for medical expenses. In her declaration, Courtney mentioned that she had been performing as a musician in Corey’s band.
Her health struggles reportedly began in 2022 when she started experiencing hives, which she described as “terribly debilitating and disfiguring to my face and body.”
She indicated that by June 2023, she recognized that recreational drug use was negatively impacting her well-being. “My decision to quit drugs and ‘our lifestyle’ was the reason our marriage ended,” she claimed.
Courtney explained that in May 2023, she informed Corey that she would no longer participate in their partying lifestyle or go on tour due to her worsening health and stress levels. “Once I said no to the drugs, our relationship unraveled quickly,” she added.
She believes Corey should provide her with $5,000 monthly, noting that he typically earns around $35,000 per fan convention, attending six to eight conventions annually.
Courtney also mentioned that he received $700,000 for a documentary he produced in 2020 and earns $50,000 annually from selling fan videos on Cameo. Corey has yet to respond to her requests.
A hearing regarding Courtney’s motion is scheduled for November. Prior to filing for divorce, Corey publicly announced the split on social media, expressing, “It is with great sadness that Courtney and I have made the decision to separate after many wonderful years together.”
He acknowledged their shared experiences and maintained that they still have love and respect for one another. “There is no one to blame.
This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads,” he continued.
“On behalf of myself and my band, we all love her and ask for your prayers in wishing her a speedy recovery. We don’t know what the future will hold, but we know that the love we have for each other is not going anywhere,” he concluded.
