Concerns regarding the recent rumors surrounding their father’s arrest were addressed by Diddy’s children. In a joint statement shared via Instagram on September 24, Quincy Combs, Christian Combs, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs expressed their discontent with the “hurtful and false rumors” regarding their parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs.
They emphasized that claims about their mother writing a book are completely false, stating, “She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.” The statement further asserted that anyone pretending to speak on behalf of their mother or her family is not a true friend and does not have her best interests in mind.
The statement went on to reflect their profound grief, noting, “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed.”
They acknowledged the difficulty of coming to terms with her untimely departure, reinforcing that the cause of her death has been clearly established, with no foul play involved. “Grief is a lifelong process,” they added, urging everyone to respect their request for peace as they steer their loss daily.
Quincy, 33, who shared the statement on behalf of his siblings, expressed sadness over the public’s treatment of their mother’s death, stating that it has become “a spectacle.” They requested that Kim’s memory be honored without the taint of “horrific conspiracy theories.”
The statement concluded with a heartfelt plea: “We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter. And hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you, Mommy.”
Diddy, 54, had an on-and-off relationship with Kim that began in the early ’90s and ended definitively in 2007. In November 2018, authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a cardiac arrest at Kim’s home in Toluca Lake, California.
Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the age of 47. Following an initial investigation, an autopsy revealed that Kim died from lobar pneumonia, dispelling any immediate suspicions of foul play.
Recently, a book titled KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side… surfaced on Amazon, falsely claiming to be Kim’s memoir. This book included allegations that Diddy had assaulted her during their relationship, which reignited speculation surrounding the circumstances of her death.
The author, Chris Todd—whose real name is Todd Christopher Guzze—has been involved in other high-profile cases, such as that of Nicole Brown Simpson.
However, Todd admitted to Rolling Stone that he could not guarantee the memoir’s accuracy. “If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me,” he stated.
The book’s release came just ten days before Diddy’s arrest on September 16, following the raids of his two mansions in Los Angeles and Miami back in March. He faces charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment over the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s decision to pursue what he described as an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs.
He stated, “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.”
