A year after their secret marriage at a New York City courthouse, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber celebrated their union again on September 30, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
The couple welcomed 154 guests at the luxurious Montage Palmetto Bluff resort in South Carolina, which included their parents and a few celebrity friends. Their wedding festivities began with an intimate rehearsal dinner where guests were transported by speedboat the night before they exchanged vows at the resort’s chapel.

In July 2018, Justin and Hailey announced their engagement, just two months prior to their civil ceremony. While this South Carolina event marked their second marriage, a source shared with PEOPLE that a religious ceremony was of great importance to them.
Describing the occasion, a source noted, “It was all flawless and absolutely magical. They were thrilled to have their families and friends in South Carolina. It meant more than they imagined. Although they were already married, their religious wedding ceremony was very important. It now feels more official for them.”
Since then, Justin and Hailey have renewed their vows. In May 2024, they announced they were expecting their first child by sharing images and videos from their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, where Hailey was seen cradling her baby bump in a lace Saint Laurent dress and veil. The couple welcomed their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August.
Justin and Hailey chose Montage Palmetto Bluff for their wedding weekend. The night before the ceremony, they hosted a rehearsal dinner at the resort’s Moreland Landing, transporting guests via speedboat for an evening of local cuisine and bowling.
“Justin and Hailey took a speedboat down the river to the rehearsal dinner. They both seemed beyond excited,” an insider revealed to PEOPLE at the time. “Hailey looked stunning in a short, white dress. They enjoyed local food, including an oyster roast.”
For the pre-wedding celebration, Hailey dazzled in a corseted ivory mini dress designed by Vivienne Westwood. She accessorized her custom outfit with matching ivory stilettos featuring bows, a 20.3-carat diamond pendant necklace from Messika, and diamond stud earrings. Justin matched his bride-to-be with a white collared Lacoste shirt, black slacks, and boat shoes.
On September 30, 2019, Justin and Hailey exchanged vows in a religious ceremony at the Somerset Chapel within the Montage Palmetto Bluff. As a string quartet played, Hailey was walked down the aisle by her father, Stephen Baldwin. The couple recited their vows beneath a white flower arch, exchanging Tiffany & Co. rings.
Fans got a glimpse of their intimate ceremony in episode eight of Justin Bieber: Seasons, showcasing Justin fumbling with his vows. Despite the slip-ups, Hailey expressed that everything was “meant to be.”
“Everything happened the exact way it was supposed to, I really believe that,” she reflected. “Even all the little mishaps that might’ve happened and us stumbling over our words, whatever it was, I think that it was so meant to be.”
Regarding their small gathering, Hailey mentioned, “We kept it really small because it makes it so much more fun. And the little things that I was worried about, none of that energy got brought into the actual day.”
Their second wedding was a star-studded affair, featuring a guest list that included Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, her mother, Kennya Baldwin, sister Alaia Baldwin, cousin Ireland Baldwin, and Justin’s parents, Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber.
Among the attendees were Justin’s longtime manager, Scooter Braun, along with celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Camila Morrone, Kendall Jenner, Jaden Smith, Usher, Kris Jenner, and country duo Dan + Shay, consisting of Justin Skye and Shay Mooney.
While the guest list was filled with famous friends, Hailey shared in episode seven of Justin Bieber: Seasons that they limited invitations to those who had been part of their journey as a couple.
“We just decided that smaller and intimate was gonna be the better situation for the two of us because we wanted people who had been very super involved in the journey and who are still super involved in our life currently, and who are still part of our day-to-day lives right now,” she explained.
Walking down the aisle, Hailey donned a custom Off-White wedding gown created by her late friend, Virgil Abloh. The backless design featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fishtail-style skirt, long sleeves, and a lace train. Abloh incorporated the Off-White logo into the dress and adorned the back with pearls spelling out “wedding dress.”
Hailey completed her bridal ensemble with a custom veil embroidered with the words “Till Death Do Us Part” and Jimmy Choo’s Minny heels. During her final dress fitting in 2019, the model told Vogue that she envisioned Abloh as her designer “from day one.”
“I didn’t want somebody who was a wedding dress designer,” she stated. “I just feel like my style and my street style is such a part of who I am. Virgil has kind of always just been in my corner since the beginning.”
Hailey also mentioned her involvement in the design process: “I was specific on the sleeves. I knew I wanted them to be long onto my hands. I knew I wanted this silhouette. I knew I wanted my back to be showing.”
After the ceremony, guests were escorted to a cocktail hour before sitting down for a plated dinner at the Wilson Ballroom at the Montage Palmetto Bluff for the formal reception. The long white tables were elegantly adorned with candles and neutral floral arrangements by Mark’s Garden, accompanied by a canopy of greenery and subtle drop lights provided by Technical Event Company.
In addition to a photo booth, guests enjoyed Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut served in customized bottles embellished with 9,682 Swarovski crystals. Justin and Hailey were later seen cutting a five-tier white wedding cake, which featured figurines of the couple as a cake topper.
The reception featured several musical performances, including a surprise serenade by Justin. Daniel Caesar sang three songs, including his hit “Best Part,” while Dan + Shay performed “10,000 Hours,” which includes Justin. Later in the evening, Justin took the mic to serenade his wife with “One Less Lonely Girl.”
Reflecting on the moment, Hailey said, “We were at the wedding and realized that I had never been a ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ that got sung to, so everybody insisted that I get brought up on stage. I was, like, giddy, like as if it was really happening onstage, and it was just so silly and cute.”
Throughout the night, Hailey changed into two additional white dresses for the reception. The first was a custom silk gown by Rich & Russo featuring a halter neckline and a thigh-high slit, paired with a leather motorcycle jacket from Celine, embroidered with the word “Wife.”
Later, she swapped her halter gown for a white slip dress designed by Vera Wang, which showcased a mermaid silhouette, criss-cross straps, and a single-shoulder cowl detail. For comfort, she accessorized this outfit with white sneakers.
“This was [definitely] more of the party dress. They were much more open to something seductive, light, and sensual [for this look],” Wang told Vogue about the design. “The wedding dress had a certain formality to it. This was meant to be the complete opposite. I love using the dancer reference with this because when I see her, I sort of see a ballerina.”
