Time seems to be flying for Gabourey Sidibe as her twins grow rapidly! The American Horror Story alum, 41, recently posted an adorable picture on Instagram featuring her twins, Cooper and Maya, whom she welcomed in early April with husband Brandon Frankel.
In the snapshot, Sidibe holds one twin in each arm, all three smiling brightly for the camera. In her caption, Sidibe expressed her disbelief at their growth, writing, “They are getting so big so fast!!!” Frankel sweetly commented, “My whole entire heart in one picture 😍😭,” reflecting his joy over the moment.

On his page, he shared a similar photo of Sidibe with their twins, this time capturing her laughing while holding the little ones. He captioned the heartwarming image, “MY THREE FAVE PEOPLE! My heart is bursting. So much love in this house.
I live to make these people laugh and smile—I’ll do anything to get it done, zero shame. I love you all so much 😭❤️.” In June, Sidibe confirmed the arrival of her twins with a series of photos featuring her new family of four, which were first reported by The Shade Room.
The images displayed Sidibe and Frankel leaning toward each other, each cradling one of their babies while sharing joyful smiles. Sidibe looked radiant in a vibrant orange dress as she cuddled her little ones outdoors.
Additional pictures captured Frankel, wearing a red beanie, kissing their newborn daughter while Sidibe rested her head on his shoulder, holding their squirming baby boy.
In an interview with Shutterstock, Sidibe shared details about the twins’ names: “Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our baby moon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family.”
Sidibe described the twins’ personalities, saying, “They’re both extremely strong and hilarious, though they have yet to really interact with each other.”
She added, “Cooper will sometimes speak for Maya and alert us that she’s about to spit up. Maya loves her name being sung to her and has impeccable comedic timing, while Cooper loves his sleep and has the funniest facial expressions. They both enjoy cuddling with Mom and Dad.”
Earlier this year in February, Sidibe revealed on Instagram that she was expecting twins. She shared a series of photos featuring herself in a bright pink dress, posing with her husband while cradling her baby bump.
Additionally, she included a snap of the couple pushing twin strollers together and another where they gazed at their reflections in the mirror.
In her playful caption, Sidibe wrote, “I’m pregnant! We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility, so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of! Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!! Twin Delivery coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four!!”
