Charlotte “Bowie” Drozd, the teenage daughter of The Flaming Lips’ drummer Steven Drozd, has been located and is safe. Seattle Police Department confirmed that the 16-year-old had gone missing on Saturday, Oct. 5, around 11:30 a.m. near Seattle’s Space Needle, as reported by PEOPLE on Monday, Oct. 7.
A day later, on Oct. 8, Wayne Coyne, lead singer of The Flaming Lips, shared the good news on Instagram, announcing that Charlotte, affectionately known as Bowie, had been found and was unharmed.

Coyne expressed his relief and gratitude by posting a heartfelt message alongside Charlotte’s “missing person” photo, now labeled with “Found.” He thanked everyone for their support and efforts in finding her.
Authorities confirmed that Charlotte was last seen riding the monorail near the Space Needle in Seattle. The Seattle Police Department had described Charlotte in the missing person report as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing khaki shorts and pink shoes. Charlotte was classified as a missing or runaway juvenile, and the case was assigned to a detective from the Missing Persons Unit.

In response to Coyne’s post, Steven Drozd commented, expressing his appreciation and uncertainty, saying, “Thank you Wayne for posting. We don’t know what to do ❤️.” The Flaming Lips’ official Facebook page had also shared the missing person poster to help in the search for Charlotte.
