A Comprehensive Guide to Sasha Attwood: The Girlfriend of Jack Grealish

Sasha Attwood shares a touching moment, showing baby Mila’s tiny hand in a heartwarming photo

An important update has emerged in the life of Jack Grealish, who has welcomed his first child, a daughter named Mila, with his longtime partner Sasha Attwood. The Manchester City player announced the arrival of Mila, who was born on September 27, through a heartfelt message shared on social media.

Sasha, who has known Jack since childhood, shared the joyful news with a touching photo of their newborn’s hand grasping her finger. The 28-year-old revealed that their daughter’s full name is Mila Rose Grealish.

She expressed her emotions, stating it was “the most special moment of my life,” while Jack echoed this sentiment by reposting the black-and-white image along with the date of their daughter’s birth.

Their posts were met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and fellow footballers in the comments section. Alex Zinchenko from Arsenal shared his excitement with a congratulatory note, while fellow players Declan Rice and Marcus Rashford added heart emojis in support of the new parents.

The couple has kept their relationship relatively private since they began dating as teenagers over a decade ago. Although Jack’s fame in football has increased, especially following his impressive performance in the Euros 2020, the couple managed to keep a low profile regarding their personal lives until recently.

While many people have speculated about Sasha’s relationship with Olivia Attwood, the two are not related. Despite sharing the same last name, they do not follow each other on social media, clearing up any confusion regarding their familial ties.

Sasha has spoken candidly about the negative attention she has received on social media, especially after gaining a larger following due to Jack’s rising fame. Despite having over 300,000 followers, she faced intense trolling, which she attributed to the hostility directed toward her as Jack’s girlfriend.

In a YouTube video, Sasha addressed the online hate, mentioning that she has received numerous death threats since gaining attention. She stated, “I never in a million years thought it would be this bad,” explaining that the threats continued even after the tournament, with hurtful messages regarding her and her family.

Sasha highlighted the concerning trend of young girls being behind some of the abuse, remarking that the toxicity of social media is troubling and indicative of a larger issue within society. She suggested that many of these young users are not aware of the harmful impact their words can have.

Sasha’s YouTube channel also sheds light on the wider issue of online harassment faced by women. Although a commenter noted that a lot of the online abuse directed at women often comes from other women, this perspective can be misleading. Online violence, particularly against women, is a pressing issue, with studies showing that men frequently perpetrate cyberstalking and other forms of harassment.

Research conducted by Plan International reveals that abusive language is the most common form of online harm against women and girls. Additionally, reports from Amnesty International UK indicate that a major percentage of women experience online abuse or harassment, which can take various forms, including threats of sexual violence.

The prevalence of such violence has resulted in girls feeling unsafe both online and offline, as noted by Susanne Legena, the chief executive of Plan International. She pointed out that the constant harassment faced by many girls contributes to mental health issues, leading some to withdraw from social media altogether.

Caitlin McGrane, who leads initiatives to enhance online safety for women, emphasized the importance of teaching respectful communication, particularly to young men. She believes that fostering understanding and respect in digital interactions is crucial in combating the culture of online abuse.
