Sabrina Carpenter considers Taylor Swift not only her “best, best friend” but also a mentor in the music industry. After opening for the Eras Tour earlier this year, Carpenter has expressed that collaborating with Swift has provided her with valuable insights into the music business.
Carpenter praised Swift in an August interview with Variety, describing her as a “rock star” who approaches challenges with confidence and poise. “She’s just such a gangster with all of it,” Carpenter stated. “No matter what people are saying, everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace.”
While Swift has undeniably influenced Carpenter’s music, it appears the “Espresso” singer is also drawing inspiration from Swift’s fashion choices. Earlier this week, she sported an outfit that clearly reflected Swift’s style. Shifting away from her typical pastel palette, Carpenter opted for a yellow plaid skirt reminiscent of Swift’s tartan ensemble from the 2024 VMAs.
On October 10, Carpenter once again looked to her mentor’s fashion sense, this time emulating Swift’s game-day attire. While in New York City, she donned a navy Dallas Cowboys crewneck paired with long boyfriend jorts, complemented by sleek black leather boots that contrasted sharply with her usual choice of peep-toe platform pumps.
