Whenever Prince Harry, King Charles III, and Prince William find themselves in the same country, speculation about a possible meeting is inevitable. Since the explosive Oprah Winfrey interview and the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, tensions have only escalated.
However, one royal commentator believes that the relationship between Harry and his in-laws is not a concern for Princess Kate. Christopher Andersen, author of The King, recently shared with Fox News that the Princess of Wales has more pressing matters to attend to as she continues her recovery from cancer.
“The notion that Kate somehow has the time and energy to play peacemaker is nonsense,” he stated. He elaborated, saying, “She made efforts over the years but at the end became frustrated. While she did her part, it wasn’t sufficient to bridge the gap between William and Charles on one side and Harry on the other.”
Richard Fitzwilliams, another royal commentator, emphasized the challenges faced by the Wales family this past year, particularly in light of the princess’s diagnosis. He remarked to Fox News that “Catherine will wish to avoid anything that promotes negative energy.”
Avoiding drama aligns with the Princess of Wales’s recent comments regarding her healing process. Since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, Kate shared in an emotional video on September 9 that she had completed her chemotherapy.
“My focus now is on doing everything I can to remain cancer-free,” she said in the clip, adding, “Even though I’ve finished chemotherapy, my journey to healing and full recovery is lengthy, and I need to take each day as it comes.”
