Numerous public romances have characterized Dua Lipa’s dating history, involving musicians, models, actors, and even a director. However, she often chooses to express her thoughts on love through her music rather than through public commentary.
In a conversation with British Vogue, Lipa offered insight into her approach to privacy, particularly regarding her relationship with Anwar Hadid, although her perspective can apply to most of her past romances. “We have all these incredible memories and experiences, and if there’s something that we want to share together, then OK that’s fun,” she explained. “But at the same time, we’re quite private—we’ll only show you as much as we want you to see.”
Scheduling conflicts led to the eventual end of Lipa and Carew’s relationship, despite their efforts
Lipa elaborated on the challenge of balancing excitement and love with the need for privacy, stating, “It’s a little bit of give and take, trying to find the right balance of being so excited and being in love, and wanting to share that with the people around me, but at the same time not wanting to put too much out there. In July 2019, Lipa was seen sharing a kiss with Anwar Hadid during a music festival in London. The singer also briefly dated Paul Klein, the lead singer of LANY, in 2017. Their relationship lasted five months before ending in January 2018.
A source mentioned that while they had a good time together, “things just didn’t work out.” Shortly after, Lipa rekindled her romance with Carew, but they eventually split for good in 2019.

Rumors circulated in December 2022 about Lipa and rapper Jack Harlow spending time together after appearing at Variety’s Hitmakers brunch. The speculation began when Harlow released a song titled “Dua Lipa,” expressing his desire for more than just a collaboration.
