Nilofar Khirzad, who is rumored to be dating Jono Castano, recently posted a picture of the two enjoying a cozy night out together, fueling dating speculation. The 33-year-old celebrity personal trainer and the Perth-based influencer first ignited romance rumors when Jono left several flirty comments on her Instagram posts.
The pair added to the gossip when they were spotted looking quite comfortable with one another at a restaurant in Perth. On Wednesday, Nilofar, a fashion designer originally from Afghanistan, shared a warm snapshot of their outing on her Instagram Stories. She looked fabulous in an oversized light blue blazer and eye-catching gold hoop earrings, playfully pouting for the camera.
Jono, who recently split from Simone Holtznagel, looked sharp in a white polo shirt while wrapping his arm around Nilofar as they posed for the picture. This comes shortly after Jono made headlines for leaving flirtatious comments on Nilofar’s posts, just months following his breakup with the 31-year-old model, with whom he shares a seven-month-old daughter named Gia.
Engaging openly on social media, Jono has even commented with a fiery emoji on one of Nilofar’s recent posts, showcasing her fashion brand’s items. In the October 11 post, Nilofar wore a $290 burgundy blouse and a $389 orange skirt, displaying pieces from her own collection.
Earlier in September, Jono commented “Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkk” on a series of sultry photos of Nilofar taken at a restaurant in Melbourne, which led her to respond with three love heart emojis. In those photos, Nilofar looked effortlessly chic in a black maxi skirt, a $635 cropped lace top, and a $680 jacket.
Recently, Jono was featured on Nilofar’s menswear brand’s Instagram page, wearing her designs, which he showcased on October 5. Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Jono’s representatives for their comments.
The breakup between Jono and Simone was relatively quiet, occurring about nine weeks after they welcomed their daughter Gia on Easter Sunday. Jono confirmed their separation publicly in July, while Simone has since stated that she is raising Gia as a single mother.
Simone has discussed the challenges of her separation, mentioning that she had to come to terms with the reality of her situation. Reflecting on her past relationship, she noted, “I wanted to set an example for my daughter; that’s something that shifted for me. One day I was like, ‘What am I doing? This isn’t right.’ And I would hate for her to be in a similar situation.” She emphasized the importance of prioritizing her happiness and wellbeing alongside Gia’s.
In a recent interview, Simone expressed satisfaction with her decision to raise Gia independently, affirming, “I’ve never felt more sure of anything, and I know I can do it by myself.” She acknowledged that, while it’s unfortunate to primarily handle things alone, she wouldn’t want it any other way. “What I’m doing feels right for me; the most important thing is that Gia is happy and healthy, and that I’m happy too,” she said.
In another instance, Simone addressed the duality of experiencing motherhood alone while appearing to share parenting responsibilities with Jono. During an interview, she chose not to mention Jono while thanking her family and friends for their support, indicating a subtle jab at him.
When discussing the unexpected aspects of motherhood, she remarked, “Positive: I can do this alone. Negative: I am doing this alone.” She acknowledged that her family and friends have been incredibly supportive, making the challenges feel much more manageable.
Jono and Simone’s relationship came to an end shortly after welcoming their daughter Gia in March, with Jono confirming their split at the end of July. He stated at the time, “Who knows what the future holds; our goal is simply to be the best parents for Gia at this stage.”
A close friend of the couple later revealed that there had been signs indicating the relationship’s decline for some time, with family and friends warning Simone that her model lifestyle might not align with Jono’s career as a fitness influencer.
