Following the success of the low-budget slasher hit “Terrifier 3” at the box office, the horror film “Stream,” created by much of the same team, is now available on video-on-demand platforms.
Director and co-writer Michael Leavy expressed his excitement about the film’s wider digital release, stating, “Today, ‘Stream’ becomes accessible to everyone through VOD platforms. The response from fans has been humbling, and we are thrilled to offer them the ultimate experience!
After catching ‘Terrifier 3’ in theaters, they can now indulge in even more gore from our team and Damien Leone by enjoying ‘Stream’ at home before heading back to the theater for another round of ‘Terrifier 3.’”
Damien Leone, the creator of the “Terrifier” series, played a key role as a producer on “Stream.” The film, known for its intense gore, was made possible through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign and had a limited theatrical release in August via Iconic Events Releasing.
The plot of “Stream” centers on a family whose vacation takes a sinister turn. Along with other hotel guests, they become trapped in a brutal game of cat-and-mouse that is broadcast globally.
In an August interview with Variety, Leavy shared insights into Leone’s creative contributions to the film’s graphic kills, noting, “Damien has a twisted imagination, and it’s always fun discussing ideas with him. Just as he did with ‘Terrifier,’ he draws inspiration from things like medieval torture methods or infamous serial killers.”
