Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren celebrated a meaningful moment in their daughter Luna Lucia’s life. On Sunday, October 20, the 41-year-old Jersey Shore star and his 38-year-old wife gathered with family and friends to mark Luna’s baptism.
The event included their other children—Mia Bella, 20 months, and Romeo Reign, 3—alongside several cast members from Jersey Shore who came to show their support. Exclusive photos shared with PEOPLE captured the joyful moments from the day.
Mike and Lauren emphasized their hopes for Luna’s future, saying, “We look forward to raising Luna with the values and traditions symbolized by her baptism.”
“We feel truly blessed to celebrate this important milestone for Luna Lucia,” the couple said in a statement. “The day was filled with love, joy, and the presence of those closest to us, creating memories we’ll cherish forever.”
Reflecting on the meaning of the day, the couple added, “We look forward to raising Luna with the values and traditions symbolized by her baptism.” They also expressed excitement for their family’s future, saying, “We can’t wait to see what lies ahead for our beautiful family of five!”
Before the ceremony, the family posed for a few photos inside the church. Mike held Mia, who wore a beige dress and a matching hair bow, while Lauren cradled Luna in a white gown from Baby Beau & Belle.
Lauren wore a silky purple midi dress, and Romeo stood between them in a gray suit, mirroring his dad’s look. A heartwarming moment captured Mia and Romeo gently kissing Luna on the forehead.
The celebration continued at Gabriella’s Italian Steakhouse in Red Bank, N.J., where a glowing sign read “God Bless Luna,” complemented by a unique mirror display from JCs Art Designs. Mike, holding Luna in his arms, was seen enthusiastically pumping his fist as the family entered the venue.
Inside, the proud father shared smiles at the bar with his Jersey Shore co-stars, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick, Deena Nicole Cortese, and Vinny Guadagnino. Guests were treated to a two-course meal and desserts from Gino’s Cannoli Bar and Palermo’s Bakery to mark the special occasion.
Earlier this year, the Sorrentino family welcomed Luna with a series of exclusive photos shared with PEOPLE. In one of the pictures from their first photo shoot as a family of five, Mike and Lauren posed in matching beige outfits, with Mike holding both Romeo and Luna on his lap.
Lauren smiled as she cradled Mia beside her husband, while another photo captured all three siblings sitting together on a soft carpet, with Luna wrapped in a white knit blanket.
