While singing the outro to “Midnight Rain,” Swift imitated throwing a football as she performed the lines: “And he never thinks of me / Except when I’m on TV.” A video captured by a fan on X (formerly Twitter) showcased this moment, igniting excitement among Swifties who interpreted the gesture as a reference to her football-playing boyfriend.
Fans predict a Chiefs Super Bowl victory thanks to Swift’s onstage homage
“TRAVIS CATCH THE BALL,” exclaimed one fan. Another chimed in with a playful inquiry, “@newheightshow @JasonKelce is this proper football form?” referencing the podcast hosted by Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, a former player for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Another fan humorously remarked, “She’s just tayvoodooing for the Chiefs in February,” hinting at the upcoming 2025 Super Bowl set to be held at the Caesars Superdome, where the Chiefs have enjoyed back-to-back victories in recent years.
