Armie Hammer is looking to reconnect with fans and rebuild his place in the entertainment industry. On October 28, the 38-year-old actor posted a video on Instagram showing himself skateboarding along Venice Beach, Los Angeles, as he announced the launch of The Armie HammerTime Podcast.
Describing it as both a long-form interview series and a personal journal, the project comes just two months after Hammer moved back to L.A. In the clip, Hammer addressed viewers with a mix of humor and honesty.
Hammer introduces his podcast with humor, aiming for honest conversations
“I’ve got some news. Some of you are going to love this, and some of you are going to f—— hate it,” he remarked. “I’m starting a podcast, and the idea came from the thought that every person you meet knows at least one thing you don’t—so, teach me that one thing.”
Hammer expressed his desire to have deep conversations with guests, focusing on people with unique skills, life experiences, or insights he hasn’t encountered. He also hinted that the podcast would explore his personal journey, saying, “I’ve been gone for four years, but now I’m back. It’ll be like a journal, chronicling how I piece my life back together.”
The first episode, released on the same day, features an interview with comedian Tom Arnold. In teaser clips, Hammer and Arnold touch on controversial topics, including allegations that surfaced in 2021, when Hammer was accused of cannibalism and faced multiple claims of physical and sexual abuse. The two also discuss Hammer’s dealings with crisis PR teams during that turbulent period.
As the video ended, Hammer invited viewers to follow his podcast, emphasizing that while opinions may be divided, the conversations would be worth tuning in for. “Like I said, some will love it, others will hate it—but we’re going to have interesting talks with fascinating people. Hope you enjoy being part of my world,” he concluded.
Hammer’s last film role was in Death on the Nile (2022), and no new acting projects have been announced so far. A source told PEOPLE back in June that Hammer is determined to regain credibility and prove himself by making his way back into the industry on his own terms. “He’s not looking for handouts,” the insider said, reinforcing the actor’s intent to rebuild his career step by step.
