A new chapter seems to be revealing for Jeremy Allen White as he’s been spotted sharing a kiss with his fellow actor, Molly Gordon. On September 25, the pair was seen engaging in a romantic moment during an outing in Los Angeles.
While their characters, Carmy (White) and Claire (Gordon), are no longer a couple in the third season of The Bear, they previously played love interests on the show. Previously, White had been linked to singer Rosalía, with their first sighting together occurring in October 2023.

The last public appearance they made together was in July 2024, when Rosalía joined White at a pop-up event for Mr. Beef in L.A. Prior to that, White was married to Addison Timlin for three years until she filed for divorce in May 2023. The couple shares two daughters, Ezer and Dolores.
White now seems to be moving forward with Gordon, who is known for her roles in Booksmart and Theater Camp. In June 2023, he expressed to Variety how at ease he felt working with Gordon to portray the relationship between Carmy and Claire. “Molly does such an amazing job,” he stated. “She’s so disarming and funny and charming.”
Following their public display of affection, a source revealed to PEOPLE that White appears to be quite smitten with Molly. Who exactly is Molly Gordon, the actress rumored to be in a relationship with White?
She hails from a family of Hollywood directors. Born on December 6, 1994, in Los Angeles, Gordon was raised in an artistic environment, with both her parents, Bryan Gordon and Jessie Nelson, having successful directing careers.
Nelson has also penned scripts for films like I Am Sam and Because I Said So, along with the Broadway adaptation of Waitress. Meanwhile, Bryan has directed episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
With such a creative upbringing, Gordon has often mentioned that she never envisioned pursuing any career outside the arts. “I’ve always been like a little, annoying Shirley Temple — always moving and dancing around and wanting to make up stories,” she recalled in a September 2023 Vogue interview.
“And I think because I’m an only child, my parents would bring me to dinner parties, and I would always have a seat at the table.” Gordon’s childhood included close friendships with outstanding figures in the industry.
She has been inseparable from actor and singer Ben Platt since their early days in community theater, even experiencing a brief childhood romance. Platt remarked, “She definitely had a crush on me, she will admit,” in a July 2023 Rolling Stone interview. “But, I was very gay.”
Gordon also shared a deep friendship with Beanie Feldstein, her co-star from Booksmart. Together, they formed a tight-knit group with Platt and Noah Galvin, Platt’s husband, participating in various theater-related activities.
As teenagers, the trio often performed for retirement communities under the name Theater Geeks of America, eventually transitioning to more professional collaborations in short films and web series.
Her rise to fame began with a role in Booksmart. After completing high school, Gordon briefly attended New York University but left after two weeks to pursue acting more seriously. She worked as a waitress while auditioning and landed her first role in TNT’s Animal Kingdom.
Gordon quickly followed this with a role in the 2018 film Life of the Party, where she played Melissa McCarthy’s daughter. However, her breakthrough came in 2019 when she appeared in two major films, Booksmart and Good Boys.
In Booksmart, she portrayed the character Triple A, a high-achieving and sexually confident girl, which she felt differed from her own persona. Encouraged by Feldstein to audition, she initially hesitated, thinking she didn’t fit the mold of the typical casting.
“The girls that they cast in those kinds of parts, I don’t look like at all,” she told Vulture. “But I wanted to be in this, in any shape or form.” Roles continued to pour in for her, leading to guest appearances on Ramy and Shiva Baby, both created by Christopher Storer, the man behind The Bear.
Her introduction to White occurred when she joined the cast of The Bear for its second season. After working with Storer on Ramy, Gordon expressed her desire to collaborate with him again. Although she was initially skeptical about landing a role, Storer later offered her the part of Claire, a longtime friend of Carmy’s, which sparked new romantic interest.
Upon receiving the news about the role, Gordon was thrilled at the opportunity to act alongside White. “I didn’t even know what the character was or anything about it, so learning that I was going to work opposite Jeremy was like, Jesus Christ,” she exclaimed.
Gordon has openly praised White, acknowledging his genuine nature. When she joined the cast, she was already friends with Ayo Edebiri, but she initially felt intimidated by working with White, an Emmy Award-winning actor.
“Jeremy is such an open and kind and curious actor,” she said in a June 2024 interview with Awards Radar. “He brought me into the fold in such a great way because I was definitely nervous.” While she commended his talent, she also highlighted his kindness, stating, “He’s such a genuinely good person. He’s an actor that asks questions, which is unheard of.”
On September 30, just ten days after White won the award for outstanding actor in a comedy series at the 2024 Emmy Awards, he was seen embracing and kissing Gordon in L.A. While fans speculated they might have been filming a scene, TMZ confirmed that no cameras were present during their outing.
Although it appears their on-screen chemistry has translated into real life, the seriousness of their relationship remains unclear, as neither has publicly commented on their affectionate display.
Nevertheless, a source disclosed to PEOPLE that they had been exploring their relationship for several weeks. “There were set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming,” the source noted, adding that their romantic connection only blossomed recently.
“She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They’re affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better.”
Despite primarily residing in New York, the source indicated that Gordon has been spending considerable time in L.A., where White lives, especially since his daughters are there. Shortly thereafter, the duo was seen together again in New York City, enjoying a casual evening at the restaurant Via Carota on October 25.
