Exciting news has arrived for Alexandra Daddario, who has become a mother! The 38-year-old star of The White Lotus announced the birth of her first child with husband Andrew Form on Instagram.
In her October 31 post, Daddario humorously referred to her newborn’s swaddling blanket covered in mini candies, saying, “I thought this was a weird bowl of candy,” which cleverly ties in with Halloween festivities. Details regarding the baby’s name and gender have not yet been revealed by the actress.
In addition to her new role as a mother, Daddario is also a stepmother to Form’s two children, Rowan and Julian, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Jordana Brewster. Back in July, Daddario shared her pregnancy news with Vogue, announcing that she was expecting her first child with Form after nearly four years of dating.
The publication noted that the star of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief had kept her pregnancy private for six months. Vogue also featured the announcement on its official Instagram, showcasing several images of Daddario gently cradling her baby bump.
Expressing her joy, Daddario told Vogue that she felt “overjoyed” to be pregnant, while also revealing that she had previously experienced a pregnancy loss. “Well, I had been pregnant,” she shared, adding, “I had loss.”
“It’s a long and complicated story, so I don’t want to delve too deeply,” she continued. “Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to convey unless you’ve experienced them yourself. I empathize deeply with all the women who have gone through similar situations in a way I didn’t fully understand before. It’s incredibly painful.”
