After images emerged of 24-year-old Hudson sporting a Halloween costume inspired by the 72-year-old ex-coach of the Patriots, Fitzpatrick took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a playful jab about their age difference.
In response to pictures of Hudson dressed in a New York Giants outfit, reminiscent of Belichick’s time as the team’s defensive coordinator from 1985 to 1990, Fitzpatrick quipped, “For all you 48-year-old hopeless romantics out there just think your future person may not even be born yet,” adding three red heart emojis for emphasis.

The 41-year-old’s cheeky remark regarding the couple’s age gap resonated with users on the platform, garnering over 3,700 likes, while the original post he replied to received around 2,500 likes.
One user remarked, “This is why you’re perfect for Twitter,” in response to Fitzpatrick, who faced Belichick-coached teams throughout his 17 seasons in the NFL. Another account dubbed him the “best follow on Twitter,” while a third user exclaimed, “Omg Fitz, this comment is legendary!”
The Halloween party photos featuring Hudson were initially shared by a friend of the former Bridgewater State University cheerleader, who also recently posted a picture of Belichick wearing merchandise from her alma mater shortly before she donned a costume of him.
After being seen together several times, leading to speculation about their relationship, PEOPLE confirmed in late June that Belichick and Hudson had been dating for over a year. Since then, Hudson has made their relationship Instagram official, sharing sweet selfies with Belichick from their summer outings and adventures together.
Prior to his relationship with Hudson, Belichick ended his long-term partnership with Linda Holliday after 16 years. Following their split, Holliday, 61, had been managing the Bill Belichick Foundation.
However, after their separation in September 2023, Holliday’s involvement with the foundation has become more complicated. A source informed PEOPLE that there were “issues to clear up that come from a long relationship as well as her role in his professional life.”
