A proud stepdad, Umansky celebrates Farrah’s birthday with admiration and family moments
As the eldest daughter of Kyle Richards, Umansky’s estranged wife, Farrah shares her mother with her ex-husband, Guraish Aldjufrie. Richards, a star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was married to Aldjufrie from 1988 to 1992.
Umansky’s Instagram tribute featured several solo pictures of Farrah alongside various family snapshots, capturing joyful moments together. Although Richards and Umansky announced their separation in 2023 after nearly three decades of marriage, they share three daughters: Alexia, 28, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16.
In the premiere episode of season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills, Umansky brought his daughters together for an emotional discussion regarding his split from Richards after 27 years. He reflected, “I had an amazing 26 years with your mom. I wanted to do everything possible to just save it,” while expressing the need for space.
The co-founder and CEO of The Agency recounted Richards’ response, “I’m not going to be asking what you’re doing, and I don’t want you to ask me what I’m doing… we are separated.”
This news brought tears to Sophia, who expressed her feelings by saying, “Our life has just changed so much,” and added, “We only found out that there were any issues just a few months ago, and now it feels like… things change so quickly.”
Despite their separation, the family has continued to gather for important occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. In April, Richards and Umansky were spotted dancing together at the Stagecoach country music festival in Indio, California, where their daughters Alexia, Farrah, and Sophia also enjoyed the festive weekend.
Recently, Richards’ former RHOBH co-star, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, shared with PEOPLE that the Halloween actress and her ex-husband still maintain a good relationship. Arroyave noted that Richards is “amazing,” which reflects the strong rapport and communication between Kyle and Mauricio.
She remarked, “I think that shows the love that’s there throughout their family and their life and the kind of people that they are because that’s not common. And you know, no one knows what the future holds.”
