On his birthday, Sean “Diddy” Combs received a heartfelt phone call from his children while he remains incarcerated following his arrest on various serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
On November 4, his son Justin, 30, posted a Reel on Instagram featuring himself and five of his siblings as they reached out to their father in prison to celebrate his special day. In the video, Justin holds the phone while standing beside his brother Christian, 26, as they connect with Diddy.
The twins, D’Lila and Jessie, 17, join Christian, also known as King, as they help their younger sister Love, 2, sing a birthday song to their dad. Their older brother Quincy, 33, dons a purple cap and sits next to Love, while their sister Chance, 18, participated via FaceTime.
In the clip, Love sweetly sings, “Happy birthday to Daddy,” offering Quincy a taste of frosting from her finger. “I love you all, I love you all so much,” Combs responds over the phone. “I can’t wait to see you all. I just want to say I’m proud of you all, especially the girls— I mean, all of you.”
He continues by expressing gratitude, saying, “Thank you all for being strong, for being by my side, supporting me. I love you all. I have the best family in the world. On my birthday, I’m happy. Thank you for this call. I love you all so much.”
“I can’t wait to see you in a couple of days,” Justin assures him, to which Diddy replies, “Aight, see you in a couple of days.” Love then playfully digs into the birthday cake, taking a big bite of frosting. “Pops, I love you. She’s eating the cake, so you ain’t gonna have none left,” Quincy jokes.
“Get it, get it for Daddy. I love you,” Diddy encourages. In late October, six of Combs’ seven children—Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, and twins D’Lila and Jessie—released a joint statement to PEOPLE expressing their support for their father following his indictment.
“Our family has been devastated over the past month,” they stated. “Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media.”
The statement further emphasized their solidarity: “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jessie & D’Lila.”
Combs was indicted in September on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail by two judges.
His family attended a federal court hearing in New York City on October 10 to show their support. His mother, Janice Combs, traveled from Florida, and all of his children were present at the Manhattan courthouse.
“The kids were very happy to support their father,” a source close to the family shared with PEOPLE at the time. “The whole family was. They are united in their support, and he was happy to see them all there.”
Maintaining his innocence, Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His attorneys have submitted an appeal for his release on bail as they prepare for a trial set for May 2025.
