Kathy Hilton recently shared that her sister, Kyle Richards, is taking her time before considering dating again. In a chat with PEOPLE, Hilton, mother to Nicky and Paris Hilton, spoke about how Richards is adjusting after her separation from Mauricio Umansky.
“She’s focusing on herself right now,” Hilton mentioned, referencing Richards’ time spent filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and enjoying quality moments with her daughters. At the Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS in September, Hilton explained, “She’s really spending a lot of time with her girls.”

Although Hilton and Umansky aren’t as close anymore, she shared that they still stay in touch occasionally. “We’re family, and I want things to be peaceful,” Hilton expressed, adding that she values the well-being of her nieces and wishes for everyone to get along.
In July 2023, PEOPLE reported that Richards and Umansky had separated. While they continued living under the same roof for a time, Richards confirmed on a May 14 episode of the Bitch Bible podcast that Umansky had moved out to a place in West Hollywood. Reflecting on the change, she remarked, “It felt strangely real when he moved out. The house, usually filled with noise, suddenly felt eerily quiet.”
About a year after their separation, a source told PEOPLE that Richards and Umansky are focused on finding balance as individuals while remaining connected as a family. “They’re a lot after being in a routine for so long, and no one’s rushing into divorce,” the insider explained.
Meanwhile, Umansky has appeared to reenter the dating world. In July, he was seen kissing an unidentified woman at the Mykonos airport, following reports of him “getting to know” influencer Alexandria Wolfe. According to a source, “Mauricio and Alexandria hit it off after meeting in Aspen and have become close friends.”
Speculation also arose about a possible connection between Umansky and his Dancing with the Stars partner Emma Slater, as the two were spotted holding hands in 2023. However, they both clarified that their relationship is purely a strong friendship.
