On Election Day, Savannah Guthrie’s daughter sent her an encouraging note. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, the 52-year-old anchor shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of a message her 10-year-old daughter, Vale, wrote for her as the day began. The note, written on lined paper, read, “You got this! You’ve worked so hard! -V.”
“Received this note from my daughter today — on Election Day ❤️❤️❤️,” Guthrie captioned the photo. Guthrie, who also has a 7-year-old son, Charley, shares both children with her husband, Michael Feldman.
Back in September, Guthrie celebrated National Daughters Day by posting a series of pictures of Vale. One of the images showed the pair in front of the Eiffel Tower during Guthrie’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Other pictures included Vale enjoying ice cream at a picnic table, a cute selfie of mother and daughter, and Vale smiling while showing off her pink floral dress. “Here for it, even if it’s a made-up Instagram holiday – happy national daughters day ❤️,” Guthrie wrote in the post.
Earlier in the month, after finding out that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were at the U.S. Open men’s final, Vale sent her mom a flurry of texts, one asking, “Did you meet her???” Guthrie shared these messages, which also included Vale’s request for her mom to tell Swift that she had written her a fan letter and thought she was “the best singer in the world.”
The texts concluded with a gif that said, “Did someone say, Taylor Swift?” Guthrie also shared a selfie of Vale smiling in a tie-dye T-shirt, showing off her retainer.
