Gordon Ramsay marked a special milestone in his son’s life by celebrating Jesse James Ramsay’s first birthday on November 10, which fell on the 8th. The Instagram post included two photos: the first showed Jesse smiling in a light blue-green onesie while being held by someone, his strawberry blonde hair neatly swept to the side.
The second image featured a young Gordon Ramsay with bangs of the same color as Jesse’s, wearing a yellow shirt. In his caption, the father of six expressed his love for his son, writing, “Happy 1st Birthday Jesse James Ramsay love you so much Dad @jessejamesramsay ❤️,” and included a playful note, “like father like son ❤️.”
On the same day, Gordon shared another post with his wife, Tana Ramsay, which featured more pictures of Jesse with his siblings and mother, enjoying moments like bath time and a beach outing. Tana’s caption read, “Happy 1st Birthday Jesse! You are simply fabulous, determined, crazy and gorgeous. 1 year of you already, we are so blessed x @gordongram.”
November 8 was a day of celebration for the Ramsay family, as it marked not only Jesse’s first birthday but also the birthday of Gordon’s older daughter, Matilda “Tilly” Ramsay, who turned 23. Gordon posted another message for Tilly, saying, “Happy Birthday to this gorgeous lady @tillyramsay sharing our birthday together is an absolute joy. Love you so much Dad ❤️.”
Tilly, who’s pursuing a career in cooking, followed in her father’s footsteps by starting culinary school in September. She shared the exciting news on Instagram, expressing how thrilled she was to pick out her chef whites with her dad. “I am so excited for this next chapter and dad and I had the most exciting day getting all my uniform and equipment 🫶🏼❤️,” she wrote.
Gordon and Tana’s family is made up of six children: Jesse, Tilly, Megan (26), Holly Anna (24), Jack Scott (24), and Oscar James (5). Reflecting on parenthood, Gordon revealed in an interview with PEOPLE in May that he feels he’s become a better father with time.
“I know I’m better because I’ve got experience now,” he said, noting how the younger kids are benefiting from the guidance of their older siblings. “The second part of this family, with the other two little ones, I think they’re in a great position because they’re getting educated a lot earlier from their bigger, older siblings, and they’re fascinated with their careers.”
