Kelsey Anderson has reassured fans that everything is going well between her and her fiancé, Joey Graziadei. The bride-to-be, who became engaged to Graziadei during The Bachelor season 28 finale in March, took to Instagram Stories on November 5 to provide a personal update on her life and relationship.
She shared a selfie of herself holding a glass of wine, explaining that she hadn’t been active on social media lately due to personal reasons but hoped everyone had used their privilege to vote that day. “Now we all cross our fingers and wait… maybe with a glass of wine… or the whole bottle,” she humorously added in her message.
Fans seemed to interpret the post as a reference to Graziadei, who is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars season 33. Anderson quickly followed up with a close-up photo of herself, appearing to snap her fingers. “Don’t want y’all to get the wrong idea, Joey and I are good 💗,” she clarified in the caption.
Anderson has remained a supportive presence each week during Dancing with the Stars, where Graziadei is partnered with Jenna Johnson. Following the season premiere, Graziadei told PEOPLE that he feels “so lucky to have a supportive fiancée.”
He added, “I texted her immediately after I was done and said, ‘Did I make you proud?’ I just want her to be so happy with how I do this season, but I also know she’s giving up a lot to be here with me, and I’m away a lot too.”
After some fans questioned Graziadei’s close interactions with Johnson during their first dance, Anderson defended their relationship in a candid TikTok video. “I’m so tired of hearing, ‘Kelsey’s so strong, I couldn’t do this,’” she said. “Let’s recap: Joey and I met on The Bachelor, and while he was dating 31 other women, I won the Super Bowl ring.”
Graziadei later explained on the Almost Famous podcast that he had requested to be paired with a professional dancer already in a committed relationship to avoid any relationship rumors. “I didn’t want there to be any chance of noise around this, because I know that comes with the show sometimes,” he said.
Johnson, who is married to fellow Dancing with the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy, welcomed their first child, Rome Valentin Chmerkovskiy, in January 2023.
