Brittany Wisniewski seems to have found new romance. The Love Is Blind season 7 alum was seen with singer Mod Sun this week, sharing a dinner at Catch Steak in Los Angeles, followed by a cozy photo together. In the picture, Wisniewski and Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Smith, wore matching black leather outfits. Mod Sun was seen with his arm around Wisniewski as they smiled together.
The evening before, the couple, aged 33 and 37 respectively, were spotted at Mod Sun’s concert in Los Angeles. They were seen showing affection inside a bar, with photos and videos from TMZ capturing a kiss between the two at On The Rox in West Hollywood.
A cozy evening and affectionate moments hint at Brittany and Mod Sun’s budding relationship
When PEOPLE reached out, representatives for both Wisniewski and Mod Sun declined to comment on the situation. This outing follows Wisniewski’s breakup with Leo Braudy, her former fiancé from Love Is Blind season 7. Braudy had been torn between Wisniewski and another woman, Hannah Jiles, but after Jiles ended their connection, Braudy proposed to Wisniewski.
However, the proposal was far from a fairy tale. “It felt awkward,” Braudy admitted to PEOPLE, while Wisniewski described feeling overwhelmed. “I was thrown off by how I felt when he proposed. I immediately thought, ‘This isn’t right,’” she shared. Despite a strong connection, Wisniewski said her intuition told her something was off. “I can’t explain it. It was just this gut feeling—he wasn’t my husband,” she added.
Though their time together in Miami was filled with fun, both decided to part ways. “We just realized we didn’t see ourselves moving forward,” Braudy said, explaining that they were better off as friends. Despite not finding lasting love with Braudy, Wisniewski reflected positively on the experience. “My time in the pods was a catalyst for personal growth,” she said, adding that it helped her develop better communication skills.
As for Mod Sun, he was most recently in the spotlight for his breakup with Avril Lavigne in February 2023. The couple, who had been together for two years, called it quits just before the anniversary of their engagement in Paris.
A source revealed the two had been “on and off” for a couple of months before the split. Lavigne, now 40, briefly dated rapper Tyga after her breakup with Mod Sun, but that relationship ended in October 2023. Prior to Lavigne, Mod Sun was linked to Bella Thorne in 2019.
