Teddi Mellencamp is addressing the ongoing speculation surrounding her divorce from Edwin Arroyave. During the Nov. 14 episode of her Two Ts In a Pod podcast with Tamra Judge, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, touched on the rumors circulating about the cause of the split.
Mellencamp acknowledged the complexity of the situation, saying, “There’s multiple sides to every story.” However, she made it clear that she would not confirm or deny anything specific, emphasizing that her children remain her main priority. “For the time being, that’s all I’m going to discuss on this,” she stated.
She also expressed her desire to avoid being labeled a hypocrite by others, especially considering the involvement of her children, Slate, 12, Dove, 4, and Cruz, 10. “Small kids are involved, family members. You don’t want to throw other people under the bus,” Mellencamp shared. The reality star also confessed that there are still many emotions she isn’t ready to process or discuss.

While fans may be eager for details, Mellencamp requested their understanding and respect for her privacy during this difficult time. “There’s always, in every situation, gonna be somebody who is vocal and someone who is not,” she explained.
“But when it comes to kids and other people’s lives, I got to just take a beat.” She added that she is continuing to show up for work and doing her best despite the personal challenges. “But I’m still here, and I’m showing up for work, and I’m doing the best that I can,” she affirmed.
Mellencamp filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47, on Nov. 1 after 13 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The next day, she publicly confirmed the separation via an Instagram post, stressing the importance of prioritizing their children during this transition.
In her statement, Mellencamp wrote, “After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
She further explained that making a public statement was not her preferred course of action, but it was necessary to protect her family from rumors. “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do,” she said. “But in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I have felt being open, honest, and vulnerable is the best path forward.”
Shortly after the announcement, Mellencamp explained on her podcast that she was focusing on protecting her children’s privacy and handling the situation with care. “I just didn’t want it to blow up,” she said.
She also clarified that her decision to post a statement was prompted by the fact that court filings become public when someone with a recognizable name is involved. “I know I am gonna keep working on feeling my best so that I can show up for the best for my kids and my life and my work,” she said, emphasizing that her focus is on her family and her personal well-being.
