The couple marked the special occasion with a dinner together the night before, and Woods, 27, posted a video on her Instagram Stories capturing the NBA star, affectionately known as KAT, with his eyes closed, making a birthday wish. Drake’s “Ratchet Happy Birthday” could be heard playing in the background.
In the caption, Woods referenced the moment with “candles at 12,” signaling the countdown to Towns’ official birthday. She also shared a series of photos, including three more pictures of her and the Knicks player from previous years. One photo was accompanied by the message, “here’s to you @karltowns another 365.”

The couple’s relationship began in May 2020 after years of friendship. Woods opened up about their bond on her Instagram series, Regular-ish, saying, “I think it’s kind of cool dating your best friend. We know each other. We know each other’s hearts. We know each other on good days and bad days, and we’ve been through a lot of bad days together.”
Towns also revealed that their first kiss didn’t happen until 2020, sharing, “There was never a kiss or anything.” The pair went public with their relationship in September 2020 and recently celebrated their 4-year anniversary in May. Woods even penned a song for Towns titled “Be with You,” with the chorus expressing, “Cause all I want to do is be with you, be with you, be with you.”
