Mike Tyson often praises his wife, Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, for playing a pivotal role in helping him turn his life around. Despite his legendary career in boxing and being known as “Iron Mike,” Tyson’s past has been marred by a rape conviction, abuse allegations, and battles with drug addiction.
When Tyson wed Spicer in June 2009, he was in the midst of a three-year probation period following a felony conviction for cocaine possession and a DUI. Spicer, who also faced legal challenges, serving time for fraud, stood by him as they worked through their relationship. Tyson later proposed to her, acknowledging the positive impact she had on his life.

The couple first met at a boxing match when Spicer was 18, with their romance rekindling years later. Spicer recalled her connection to Tyson as something she couldn’t shake off, despite attempts to move on. She revealed that he was the only person she could fall in love with repeatedly.
Tyson and Spicer are parents to two children: daughter Milan, born in December 2008, and son Morocco, born in January 2011. Milan, a tennis enthusiast, has already shown her athletic prowess, with Tyson supporting her as she competes. Although new to the world of tennis, Tyson expressed his excitement about traveling and supporting Milan, who now trains with an elite coach in France.
Tyson and Spicer married privately at the La Bella Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in 2009, later renewing their vows in a surprise ceremony in 2011. Spicer’s legal past includes a fraud conviction related to a scheme involving fake college classes, for which she served six months in prison.
Her family members, including her stepfather, were also convicted, with her stepfather receiving a lengthy federal sentence. Together, Spicer and Tyson also co-wrote a play about his life, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth. Tyson performed the show with Spicer’s direction, and it eventually made its way to Broadway under the direction of Spike Lee.
Tyson’s face tattoo, which has been a source of controversy, is something Spicer supports. She described it as “sexy” and praised it as a strategic move that helped make Tyson instantly recognizable worldwide.
The couple continues to collaborate on various business ventures, including a boxing glove brand and apparel line. Although Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul was not financially necessary, Spicer had mixed feelings about it. She believed Tyson didn’t need the fight, as he had already achieved everything he wanted in life. However, Tyson wanted the glory, and Spicer respected his decision.
