Jason Tartick is not shy about teasing his friend Tyler Cameron. In a funny video shared on their Instagram accounts, Tartick, 31, and Cameron, 36, took part in the latest “suspect” trend, where celebrities roast each other while pretending to be police officers chasing a suspect.
Tartick couldn’t resist poking fun at Cameron’s brief 2019 romance with Gigi Hadid, joking: “Suspect thought it was a good idea to take a supermodel out on a date, have his dad pay for it, and then announce their relationship at a funeral.” The comment left Cameron laughing but also groaning in response.
Cameron didn’t hold back either, firing back with a roast of his own. He joked that Tartick only dates women with a million followers, referencing his recent breakup with TikTok star Kat Stickler. Cameron’s playful jab was based on a 2023 conversation he had with Tartick on Trading Secrets, where he shared that he had only $200 to his name during his time dating Hadid.

During that March 2023 interview, Tartick recalled a chat he had with Cameron while he was dating Hadid. “He goes to me, ‘Dude, I don’t know what the f— I’m doing. I got $5,000 in my bank account, I don’t know what my next job is, and I’m dating Gigi Hadid!’” Tartick shared, with Cameron adding, “Not even $5,000 — I had like $200, you know what I mean?”
Tartick revealed that Cameron was often uncertain about his finances, saying he’d be “crossing [my] fingers” when going on dates. Cameron humorously reflected on his “early days” living in New York, where he sometimes had to call his dad for help. “I’d be going on dates, I’m like calling pops up in the bathroom. I’m like, ‘Pops, I don’t think my credit card’s gonna go through. I need you to send me some money right now.’ And he’s like, ‘You got it, son, go get it,’” Cameron recalled.
After Cameron’s time on The Bachelorette, he and Hadid briefly dated, and he even attended her grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands in September 2019. Since then, both have moved on to new relationships. Cameron recently revealed he is seeing someone, but they are keeping it private for now.
“It’s something that we’ve been working on and keeping private. But there will be a time when we come out,” Cameron said in July, hinting at the future reveal. Cameron was also linked to influencer Paige Lorenze in 2022, but their relationship ended after just a few weeks, which he confirmed on Daily Pop, saying, “It wasn’t the right time” for either of them.
As for Hadid, she is now dating Bradley Cooper, 48, and previously had a relationship with Zayn Malik. They share a 3-year-old daughter, Khai. Hadid and Malik split in October 2021 after nearly six years together.
