Julianne Hough is open to finding love again. Following her surprise performance to “Man In Finance” on Dancing with the Stars, the 36-year-old TV personality shared that she was ready for romance when her co-host Alfonso Ribeiro gave her a compliment for her routine with pros Sasha Farber, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Pasha Pashkov.
Hough humorously revealed her single status, saying, “Well, you know, I am single and I’m looking for a guy anywhere I can find one.” Ribeiro responded by joking that fans could text in for a chance to date her, using the same number they would for voting on the show.
“If you’d like a date, text Julianne’s first name. Message and data rates may apply,” he said, to which Hough laughed and politely declined, adding, “That won’t work, please don’t do that.”
Her energetic performance followed a tango routine from Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold, who had just received their second set of judges’ scores. Reflecting on the dancers around her, Hough commented, “Seeing all these amazing dances and dancers out there all season long reminds me of when I was a pro back in the day.
And oh, my gosh, I wish I could just get out there and dance sometimes.” She then playfully suggested, “In fact, why don’t we do that? Right now,” before handing her microphone to Olympian Nedoroscik and revealing the silver fringe outfit she had on under her dress.
Earlier this month, Hough opened up about her approach to dating in an interview with PEOPLE. She explained that she was simply “going with the flow” and not actively seeking a relationship.
“Honestly, I am just keeping my heart open and kind of just letting the seasons flow and I’m focusing on Dancing With The Stars,” she shared. “But my heart is open, I’m ready for it, but I’m not actively looking for anything.”
Though dating wasn’t her primary focus, she acknowledged that her desire for romance was still present. However, Hough emphasized that her personal growth came first. “For me, I just feel like it’s just part of my life,” she said. “It’s not like it’s ever a destination. It’s just always going to be a part of my life. I really enjoy going on retreats and connecting and it’s just a part of my life.”
